Loads of Sunderland fans have been reacting to a pretty drastic measure taken by owner Stewart Donald, who has deleted his Twitter account.
Donald and the new leadership at the Stadium of Light did a fantastic job of opening themselves up to the fans on arrival last summer.
Since taking over the club, Donald has interacted with fans regularly on Twitter, and was even joined by Charlie Methven and Juan Sartori for the celebrations in Trafalgar Square ahead of the Checkatrade Trophy final.
But while most fans were appreciative of the owner’s attempts to stay open and honest during episodes like Josh Maja’s transfer saga, during which he tweeted some details of the forward’s contract dispute, it seems the negativity from sections of the fan base has driven him away.
