Celta Vigo winger Pione Sisto scored and impressed in his team’s 3-2 pre-season friendly defeat against Southampton at St Mary’s on Wednesday night, and Saints fans have urged their club to sign the 23-year-old.
The Denmark international first made an impression against the south coast outfit back in 2015 when he was instrumental in helping Midtjylland overcome their English opponents in the Europa League.
The speedy attacker looks to have improved and matured even more since then, and he cut in from the left and bent a brilliant right-footed curler into the top corner against Mark Hughes’ men to give the La Liga side the lead on Wednesday, showing that he could make a big impression in the final third for Saints if he made the move to the Premier League.

Southampton supporters, who have been discussing a potential move for a Premier League striker with one saying he “reminds me of James Beattie”, were quick to have their say on Sisto’s strike via social media, and while one said “please buy him”, another said “sign this guy up”.
