Per multiple reports in Italy, Milan are considering a move to appoint Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager once Paratici takes up his post as sporting director. However, Guardiola has been cited as a long-term target, ahead of the 2025-26 season, seemingly hinting that the club would do whatever they can to bring the Spaniard to Italy were he to express an interest.

While the reports accept that the prospect of Guardiola moving are remote, City have endured a terrible season and sit fifth in the Premier League table, 22 points behind leaders Liverpool. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has previously hinted that he would be willing to quit if City's awful form were to persist, despite signing a new contract earlier this season.
