Former Leeds United loanee and skipper Kyle Bartley captained Swansea City to a huge 8-1 win against Notts County in their FA Cup fourth round replay tie at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night, and Whites fans were quick to have their say on his display.
The centre-back enjoyed a successful season-long loan spell at Elland Road last season, forming a strong partnership with Pontus Jansson at the heart of the defence as the Yorkshire outfit narrowly missed out on a play-off spot despite spending the majority of the campaign in the top six.
The 26-year-old ended up signing a new four-deal with the Welsh outfit rather than making a permanent move to United however, although he has only made six starts all season because of injury and the fact he has struggled to break back into the side in the Premier League since he returned to action at the start of January.
Leeds supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on his latest display, and while one said “we miss you at Elland Road”, another said “he’s exactly what we need right now” in relation to the club’s current defensive crisis.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
