John Terry has been available on a free signing all summer, but despite their centre back shortage 63 per cent of Leeds fans are glad they’ve avoided the veteran defender.

While Marcelo Bielsa insists he is happy with his centre back options, it does seem bizarre to take on such a long season with just two senior centre backs.
Gaetano Berardi has looked superb so far playing out of position in the middle, and young Conor Shaughnessy is there as a last resort, but Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper are the only genuine senior centre backs.
Despite being strongly linked with moves to Championship sides like Aston Villa, Chelsea legend Terry now looks set to join Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow.

The shock news was reported by Sky Sports on Saturday, as the 37 year-old is set to sign a one-year deal with the Russian outfit.
Most Leeds afans would agree they could do with another centre back, especially given Jansson and Cooper’s injury histories, but they think they’ve dodged a bullet by not moving for Terry.
