Following Lyon's 2-0 win over Angers in their final league game of the season, Cherki had bid goodbye to the French side, hinting that he would leave the club in the summer. His comments in the media alerted top European giants who are keen on signing the 21-year-old French sensation.

Last week, reported that Cherki's representatives have been in touch with Manchester United and Liverpool about a potential move. The winger is said to have a €22.5 million (£19m/$25m) release clause in his existing contract. Now, claims that the player's preferred destination is Anfield.
